Chris has been playing drums for over 40 years and is quite a seasoned drummer. He grew up in the church as a pastor’s kid but wandered away from the faith as he followed his passion for music. It brought him to some dark places even playing for a heavy metal rock band on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. He later moved to West Michigan and through a divine appointment, Kyle Warmington was looking for drum equipment for his son Mac and connected with Chris over Facebook Marketplace. While standing in his apartment they made a connection and not long after that Kyle invited Chris to play drums for him. That led to Chris playing with Kyle for various events and churches throughout the years and most importantly, brought Chris back to his original faith in Jesus Christ.
Chris and Kyle have been leading worship together now, on and off, for roughly 20 years. Chris has played for churches all over West Michigan and beyond. He works full-time in Zeeland but sells drum and music equipment on the side as well. He is a member of KWWB and loves working with Midwest Worship to develop and platform students in worship music and leadership. Chris has a great sense of humor and is a riot to be around. Kyle and Chris both feel like leading worship together is like being on a playground like little kids having fun serving the King!
