Mac started playing guitar for fun when he was quite young as he was dragged around to churches with Kyle Warmington, his father, who led worship in churches all over the Greater Grand Rapids Area. In middle school he taught himself how to play guitar and enjoyed messing around with it but then got into Lacrosse for a couple years and didn't pickup the guitar much. But in High School during his sophomore year he all of the sudden got super passionate about guitar. He started playing regularly and actually decided to be done with Lacrosse and focus all of his attention on guitar throughout his Junior and Senior years in high school. Kyle began bringing Mac with him whenever he was playing at churches or events and have Mac add electric into the mix however he felt comfortable. This gave him experience playing in front of small and large crowds and helped him see the possibilities.

He took lessons online with SONORA and within one year had covered a tremendous amount of ground becoming a very good guitar player.

He and his good friend Brady Yoder decided they wanted to play Miraculum by Lincoln Brewster for the Christmas Candlelight service at Magnify Church in 2024. They submitted the idea to the worship team leadership and they approved it and for the next few months Mac and Brady began furiously learning this very difficult song. Here is their performance at Magnify Rockford Candlelight 2024 services.
Mac is involved in the leadership for the upcoming 5th Quarter that will launch in Fall 2025 where we plan to host student worship gatherings following every Rockford High School football game. Should be an awesome way to gather students for worship as well as give them an opportunity to invite their friends after the game to join them for this event.

He plans to move to Nashville eventually and get involved with the music scene down there and participate in some very cool churches in the Greater Nashville area. We shall see where Mac ends up but he has been one of our best involved students and is truly a shining star for us. We hope to replicate him in many more students to come. He and Brady have had a significant impact on students at our different student worship gatherings and churches we have played in, so we hope to inspire more kids to pickup guitars and get moving to join this movement to empower students in worship leadership.
